Rehabilitation supplies despatched to Rakhine State

Under the guidance of the National Disaster Management Committee, the Transport and Communications Work Committee plans and supervises the transport of rehabilitation materials to Rakhine State via cars, vessels, and planes. The MV Charity vessel, commissioned by the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Electric Power, and Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement, is carrying a cargo of 657 tonnes of Lip Chanel, including 85 tonnes of iron, 24,000 pieces of brick, eight transformers, six vehicles, and seven tonnes of furniture. The total tonnage is 2,093.035, which contains 20,290 bags of rice and 310 barrels of palm oil. It was reported that the vessel departed from The Myanmar Terminal (TMT) wharf for Sittway yesterday afternoon.
Starting from 16 May till today, 41 vessels, including Tatmadaw naval ships, transported construction materials, electrical equipment, medicine, health devices, consumer goods, and food, totalling 57,729.516 tonnes of relief goods. Additionally, 249,762 gallons of diesel, including 199,886 gallons of Octane 92 were delivered. — MNA/KZW
