Video/film director Maung Maung Myint Lwin passes

Maung Maung Myint Lwin, an experienced video and film director, passed away at the charity hospital in Kyauktada Township, Yangon Region, on the morning of 3 December, according to his wife, Ma Phyu Phyu.
He died of a kidney problem at the age of 56. He directed numerous films, including “Thar Ah Chit Myay Ah Hnit”, “Ah Khon” (Shell), “Suu” (Thorn), “Ma Kyay Pwal” (Revenge), “Nga Mone”, and “Ah Pay Ah Tay Poe Htein” (Naughty Poe Htein). He dedicated nearly 30 years to the film industry as a director.
“He was hospitalized for a kidney problem at the Muslim Charity Hospital and passed away on the sixth day at the hospital. His funeral was held following Islamic customs,” said his wife.
U Maung Maung Myint Lwin was a talented director who collaborated with actors such as Thu Htoo San, Min Yazar, Zay Ye Htet, Wai Lu Kyaw, and others, creating many videos and movies. — ASH/TKO
