More than 10,694 tourists and homegrown visitors flocked to the Myanansankyaw Golden Palace (Mandalay Royal Palace) in Aungmyaythazan Township in October, and the digits show a higher number of visitors than in September, according to the Department of Archaeology and National Museum (Mandalay branch). In September, there were 5,600 visitors — 5,200 local visitors and 400 international tourists — to the palace.
Similarly, there were 8,920 domestic travellers and 874 foreign travellers, totalling 10,694 visitors in October. Therefore, the number of visitors in October is higher than that in September.
The Department of Archaeology and National Museum also makes efforts to upgrade the museums into digital museums across the nation. — ASH/KTZH
