Russian Navy warships arrive in Yangon to conduct maritime security exercises

Russian Navy Destroyers: Admiral Tributs and Admiral Panteleev and Sea Tanker Pechenga arrived at Yangon’s Thilawa Port yesterday evening to conduct the first Myanmar-Russia maritime security exercise and pay a friendship visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
Senior officers and sailors from the Tatmadaw (Navy), as well as Russian military attachés and officials, welcomed the Russian naval ships.
Captain 1st Rank Aleksei Anciferov of the Russian Pacific Fleet is the leader of the warships carrying a total of 800 officers and other ranks.
They will visit famous places in Yangon, as well as take part in friendly sports competitions between the two countries and carry out harbour phase exercises. — MNA/KZL
