Kalaw introduces new resort to visitors, photography enthusiasts

Aphaychan resort and nursery located at the foot of Manawhla Hill was formally inaugurated in Kalaw Township of southern Shan State on 28 October 2023 for the travellers to enjoy this picturesque destination, enjoy breathtaking scenery and capture beautiful photographs, according to Aphaychan resort owner U Aung Hlaing Htoo. Covering 30 acres of land plot, the resort decorates itself with a coffee farm and over 100 species of local and foreign flowery plants. Additionally, a restaurant has also been established on the campus.
“The entrance fee to the resort is just K1,000 per person and allowing vacationers to explore the resort, join in the mountain’s brilliant scenes and taste foods at the on-site restaurant.
“This Manawhla mountain of Kalaw is renowned for its scenic beauty, with numerous yards, like Aphaychan resort, offering fantastic photo opportunities. Nevertheless, the resort is the exclusive location for strawberry cultivation among these yards. The resort provides a beautiful setting for photography enthusiasts with Ozi Hill and Manawhla Hill in the backgrounds and those seeking relaxation,” said U Aung Hlaing Htoo.
Currently, the foot of Manawhla mountain in Kalaw Township is established some 20 recreation parks and resorts where visitors can enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset views while capturing memorable photos. — ASH/KZL
