SAC Member holds meeting with Pa-O self-administered zone officials, local community

State Administration Council Member Khun San Lwin, along with Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye, state ministers, the state attorney-general, the chairman of the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone administration body, and state-level departmental officials, convened a meeting with township-level departmental officials, local elders, indigenous cultural groups, and Pa-O entrepreneurs at the town hall in the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone yesterday.
Khun San Lwin provided an overview of the five-point road map and nine objectives of the State Administration Council, along with updates on preparations for a free and fair election. The purpose of the meeting was to align the region’s education, health, transport, social, and economic needs with relevant departments, addressing them at the Union level when necessary. The state chief minister committed to resolving issues within the state’s authority, while matters falling under the Union’s purview would be forwarded to the Union level.
Following this, U Khun Ye Htway, Chairman of the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone administration body, presented a brief overview of the region, and U Myint Tun, Chairman of the Management Committee of Hopong Township, shared information about Hopong Township.
Subsequently, attendees, including millers, coffee growers, livestock breeders, and butter producers, along with village-track officials, discussed sector-wise requirements and challenges. The state chief minister coordinated the points raised.
The meeting concluded with a closing speech by the SAC member, and grants were disbursed to departments in the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone. The state chief minister provided food supplies to local militia members of Long Hkok and Pawng Lin, while state ministers awarded funds to ethnic literature and culture troupes.
