Quality control set for edible oil sold in market

According to market insiders, there are some checks on the quality of edible oil sold in the market to see if it meets the specifications in some edible oil stores in Yangon and Mandalay.
According to this inspection, two grocery stores in Yangon and Mandalay that sell groundnut oil that does not have the specified oil quality have been temporarily closed.
Relevant authorities have taken action against palm oil disguised as edible oil and sold at a high price and only peanut oil, sesame oil, and sunflower oil are being sold in the market.
The wholesale price of peanut oil and sesame oil is around K15,000 per viss. In some small sales centres in the neighbourhoods, a one litre bottle of peanut oil is labelled as K10,300.
Some of the peanut oil being sold in some grocery stores in the market was obtained by the relevant authorities and after inspection, it is found that the oil is out of the specified quality.
Although some action has been taken on the ground, one litre bottles of sesame oil and peanut oil are being sold for around K4,000, along with pictures of the oil bottles, phone number and address of the seller.
It is stated that 12 one litre bottles of sesame oil and soybean oil are being sold at the rate of K50,000 Kyats per bottle. If you are in the city, it will be delivered with cash on delivery or sent from the bus station to the respective cities, a local person said.
Regarding cooking oil, some people are commenting that they should take care of fraudulent sales not only on the ground but also on social networks. — TWA/KZL
