Plan underway to supply high-quality animal vaccines to disease control zones

Efforts are being made to maintain the quality of animal vaccines and distribute them based on disease control zones, as per the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation.
The Animal Drug Production and Disease Control Branch under the Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department in Insein Township is involved in the production and distribution of animal vaccines. They are working diligently to ensure that these vaccines meet the required quality standards and are supplied in accordance with the designated disease control zones.
In addition, the Animal Drug Production and Disease Control Branch is conducting inspections of imported raw feedstuffs and finished goods and have also expanded their efforts to check content of fungal toxins in cow’s milk.
Similarly, the Department of Fisheries has achieved the International Official Accredited Laboratory Certificate (ISO/IEC 17025:2017) for the fifth time for its Antibiotic Residue and Virus Inspection Laboratory under the Development and Research Branch in Thakayta Township, Yangon Region. Antibiotic residue and virus inspection laboratory activities for exported aquatic products are carried out strictly according to food safety standards. — ASH/KZW
