Union Home Affairs Minister commends police graduates

State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae attended the Police Sub-Inspector Training Course No 113/2022 passing out parade at the Police Officer Training School in PyinOoLwin Township, Mandalay Region yesterday. During the event, he took salute of the police graduation cadet company during their slow and quick marches and presented excellent awards to outstanding cadets.
In his address, Lt-Gen Yar Pyae stressed the importance of leadership qualities among the graduate police junior leaders who are about to embark on roles as young leaders in various forces. He emphasized the need for discipline, mentioning the critical objectives of maintaining internal security, and community peace, upholding the rule of law, and preventing narcotic drug risks in an era of development and change.
He acknowledged the police force’s collaborative efforts with the public in ensuring internal security, rule of law and security in border areas. The Union minister called for a cooperative spirit and strict adherence to orders, emphasizing the significance of public engagement in rule of law and crime prevention.
Addressing the national duty of combatting narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, the Union minister urged all to do coordination with Tatmadaw and the entire population to establish effective plans aligned with the current situation.
He also emphasized the need for timely assistance during natural disasters and active participation in public sector activities, especially for female police officers who should apply their training in practical settings.
Lt-Gen Yar Pyae invoked the tradition of unity between the Myanmar Police Force and Tatmadaw during national emergencies, emphasizing the importance of collaboration to restore stability to the country.
The event saw a total of 347 graduates, including 204 male in-service graduates and 143 female in-service graduates, completing the Police Sub-Inspector Training Course No 113/2022. — MNA/TS
