UEC delegation leaves for Russia

At the invitation of the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Union Election Commission Chairman U Thein Soe, member U Aung Saw Win and director U Zaw Naung Lat left Yangon for Moscow, Russia, yesterday evening by air. The delegation will sign a memorandum of understanding between the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation and the Union Election Commission and observe local elections in the Russian Federation.
The delegation will also aim to promote cooperation in electoral activities between the two countries, election procedures, the voting process and the counting process during their study tours from 6 to 12 September. — MNA/TS
