Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun separately received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Vinay Kumar and Thai Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Mongkol Visitstump at the ministry yesterday afternoon.
In meeting with the Indian ambassador, they discussed cooperation in electric power sector between the two countries, cross-border power line measures and capacity building of employees.
The Union minister also talked with the Thai ambassador to Myanmar about cooperation in electric power sector between Myanmar and Thailand and the issue of the cross-border power line project.
In the morning, the opening ceremony for the Junior Engineer-2 refresher course No 2 was held at the Central Training School of the Ministry of Electric Power in Nay Pyi Taw.
The two-week junior engineer refresher course comprises subjects on controlling the power stations, maintenance and generators. — MNA/KZW
