UMFCCI invites YPGCC to boost investments in MSME sector

The Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) has invited Chinese businesses to invest technology and infrastructure establishment for MSME (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) sectors of Myanmar in terms of providing, U Aye Win, president of the UMFCCI said.
The invitation was made when UMFCCI met their Yunnan counterpart of the YPGCC (Yunnan Provincial General Chamber of Commerce) led by Dr Gao Feng before the 7th China-South Asia Expo and the 27th China Kunming Import & Export Fair started in Kunming, China. The invitation is also an appreciation for the Chinese leading role in the advanced technology and energy sector in the world, according to the UMFCCI president.
At the meeting, the two teams discussed in the meeting the matters to be able to get quick approvals for fruits registered in GACC while boosting the trading of agricultural produce. The discussion included ongoing negotiations with relevant departments to facilitate Yuan-Kyat bank transactions to be practised in border trade. — ASH/TH
