Magway Myathalun Pagoda Festival to be held for 20 days

The Magway Myathalun Pagoda Board of Trustees plans to hold Myathalun Pagoda Festival, Magway Region, for 20 days with the offering of 9,000 oil lights and 9,000 flowers to the Pagoda at the night of Thadingyut full moon day during the Pagoda Festival.
The Pagoda Festival will be started on the 10th waxing of Thadingyut with over 70 shops to be built for the festival period and the registration of shops will be done until 10 September.
The Magway Myathalun Pagoda Buddha Pujaniya Festival had been held yearly in the past but it is the first time that the present Festival will be held again in three years after the Covid-19 pandemic. — TWA/MKKS
