Monastic hall resided by venerable Bhamo Sayadaw in Mandalay to be transformed into memorial museum

The monastic hall where Bhamo Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa, peacefully lived until his passing away on 25 May, will be opened as a commemorative museum of Bhamo Sayadaw, according to the Bhamo Sayadaw’s commemorative museum committee.
Yadanagara building and Weikzasarana building located in the precinct of Bhamo monastery in Mandalay Region resided by the Bhamo Sayadaw will be transformed into a museum.
Plans are underway to convert the monastic buildings where the Bhamo Sayadaw always resided into a memorial museum. And, the committee is also collecting the Sayadaw’s replicas, utensils, treatises, titles acquired from local and international sources, documentary photos, the treatises written by the Sayadaw for public study.
The replica of Ananda Temple in Bhamo monastery is under construction to finish. Additionally, a memorial pagoda will also be built in his native village Nabe in Taungtha Township.
The Sayadaw’ statue made by Myanmar silicon artist Saya U Aung Kyaw Tun is being kept at Bhamo monastery for public obeisance before displaying it at the museum. — ASH/KZL
