Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn briefs about the debut of three new TV channels on MRTV yesterday.

The Ministry of Information announced the debut of three new TV channels on the MRTV DTH Platform (Direct to Home) yesterday. For further enriching the broadcasting landscape in the country, the channels, introduced by Forever Group, ABC Content Solution, and New Image Trading, will offer exciting content to viewers across the nation.
Forever Group Co Ltd, a prominent media company, is set to launch four TV channels through the MRTV DTH Platform. These four channels include two channels already being broadcast under the DVB/T-2 system of MRTV, in addition to their Digital Free-to-Air channels like Maha Bodhi, MRTV-4, Channel 7, and Readers Channel.
Meanwhile, ABC Content Solution Co Ltd is committed to shaping its two HD channels, Maha Variety Channel and Maha Esports Channel, into exceptional art products. These channels aim to provide viewers with high-quality entertainment and engaging content.
Similarly, New Image Trading Co Ltd has ambitious plans to broadcast entertainment channels through the MRTV DTH system. The company aspires to become a leading movie and entertainment TV channel, offering support to local cinemas during their period of slow progress.
The Ministry of Information diligently reviews broadcasting programmes from various media companies, allowing them to broadcast through the MRTV DTH Platform. This approach ensures that a diverse range of quality content reaches the viewers, fostering the development of television media in the country.
The MRTV, under the Ministry of Information, has been actively expanding its offerings. In addition to broadcasting radio/FM programmes daily and in-house channels through the DTH system, it has been broadcasting private channels since 1 February 2022, contributing to the growth and evolution of the television media landscape. — ASH/KTZH
