Yangon United edges GFA 9-0 in MNL Week 12

Yangon United trounced GFA 9-0 in the Week 12 of the Myanmar National League at the Yangon United Sports Complex in Yangon yesterday.
Yangon United started with a 3-5-2 formation and was able to attack the other side as soon as the game started. Yangon found the leading goal five minutes into the match. Habila scored a header through a free kick by Yan Naing Oo.
Sylla scored the second lead with a header at 11 minutes of the game, and Valencia scored the third at 16 minutes.
Yangon United led GFA 5-0 at the end of the first half as Valencia scored two more goals with headers at 26 and 30 minutes.
In the second half, substitute Okkar Naing scored the sixth goal of the match with an assist from Zaw Win Thein. Two minutes later, Valencia scored another leading goal at 58 minutes, and substitute Yan Kyaw Htwe added an eighth goal. Next, Okka Naing shaped the victory with the ninth or winning goal at 68 minutes to secure 9-0 over GFA.
Yangon United is currently standing in second place after 12 plays, 10 wins, one draw, and one loss, with 31 points, and the team will face Myawady FC at Thuwunna Stadium on 24 July. — KZL
