Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and officials, paid homage to Lawkananda Pagoda in Sittway of Rakhine State yesterday morning.
The Senior General and his wife offered Waso robes, rice and alms to the Presiding Patron of Nandayama Pariyatti Buddhist Learning Centre.
At U Ye Kyaw Thu monastery in Sittway, the Senior General and his wife also donated alms to abbot Bhaddanta Jotipala and supplicated the necessary repair plan for damaged buildings caused by the recent storm.
The Senior General inspected the loss and damage of the Thakyamuni Phayagyi ordination hall in the precinct of the monastery and instructed officials to repair the damaged buildings in original works, roof the ordination hall as the first priority and keep the precinct neat and tidy. — MNA/TTA
