Under Section 11 of the Natural Disaster Management Law, the State Administration Council declared the areas damaged by Cyclone Mocha as areas affected by natural disasters and appointed senior military officers to carry out rehabilitation activities in the areas mentioned in the announcement.
Lt-Gen Lu Aye currently in Kyaukpyu in Rakhine State along with departmental staff inspected the cleaning of drain in the Asoeya ward. Then they paid homage to the Sayadaw of the Nagakyaung monastery, who is currently receiving medical treatment at the General Hospital of Kyaukpyu District.
Lt-Gen Aye Win currently in Buthidaung in Rakhine State along with officials inspected the cleaning process performed by departmental staff at schools in Myoma ward. Furthermore, they met the officials of the township-level disaster management committee in the meeting room of the General Administration Department and provided supplies to representatives in seven village tracts at U Oattama hall in Myothit ward.
Similarly, Brig-Gen Kyaw Kyaw Soe currently in Myebon along with officials inspected the relief supplies carried by Kalatan-6 vessel at Ngu port yesterday morning.
Brig-Gen Tin Swe, currently in Maungtaw, along with departmental officials provided necessary items to the monasteries damaged by the storm in Maungtaw and inspected the schools. — MNA/KZW
