Fund donation ceremony for orphans of Sama Hill Maha Parahita Youth Development Home marking 2023 Myanmar Women’s Day

The ceremony to handover the fund received from the one-man show by famous singer Myanmar Pyi Thein Tan in progress , attended by Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn yesterday.

The fund donation ceremony for orphans of Sama Hill Maha Parahita Youth Development Home marking the 2023 Myanmar Women’s Day was held at the Sama Hill Maha Parahita Youth Development Home in Thawuthti in Lewe Township of Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Union Information Minister U Maung Maung Ohn, developmental officials, invitees, the head sayadaw of Sama Hill Maha Parahita Youth Development Home and orphans and students.
First, the Union minister and party donated cash and day meal to Sayadaw Bhaddanta Nyaninda of Sama Hill Maha Parahita Youth Development Home and shared merits.
Then, they inspected the caring for infants at Sama Hill Maha Parahita Youth Development Home, poem reciting of children at Maha Parahita (Sama Hill) pre-primary school and learning section of students at BEMS Branch (Sama Hill-Nay Pyi Taw).
Afterwards, the ceremony to handover the fund received from the one-man show of famous singer Myanmar Pyi Thein Tan “Future of Stars” held at MICC-2 in Nay Pyi Taw in December 2022.
At the event, the Union Minister comforted the abandoned children and donated K12 million to Sama Hill Maha Parahita Youth Development Home, and K2 million each to Aye Mya Shwe Pyi Rakhine Monastery and Thiho Monastery.
The Maha Parahita Youth Development Home on Sama Hill about four miles from Thawuthiti of Lewe Township of Nay Pyi Taw was established by Sama Hill Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vimala and Bhaddanta Nyaninda (school administrative Sayadaw) in 1990 with four children to care the abandoned children and poor children and there were 25 children just in one month.
Currently, there are a total of 1,150 students including over 40 boung children. The parahita home also produces 61 university and college students, 3 medical students and 41 graduates.
The daily consumption of the parahita school for orphan is over 16 bags of rice and 20 visses of cooking oil and the donors can donate K1 million for one meal in addition to clothing, teaching aid materials and textbooks. — MNA/KTZH
