Speaking on the occasion, the Union minister said that the International Council of Museums has set topics related to the Sustainable Development Goals-SDGs as the theme of World Museums Day every year since 2020; that the theme of 2023 International Museum Day is set as “Museums, Sustainability and Well-Being”; that museums must play a role in ensuring healthy and happy public lifestyle throughout their lives, climate change and no damage to natural ecosystems.
Then, the Union minister toured the special exhibition on environmental protection displayed at the event and attended a symposium commemorating International Museums Day.
Two papers were read in the morning session of the symposium, and four papers in the afternoon session. Discussions were followed up, and souvenirs were presented to panellists before concluding the celebration. — MNA/KZL
