The Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo announced there are 1,225 Myanmar workers will be recruited for companies in Japan.
The embassy verified demand letters from 16 to 31 May 2023 and the notification for 357 job offer letters was released.
The statement said the embassy is screening a total of 788 demand letters in May sent by the Ministry of Labour through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a timely manner.
The embassy is verifying, with a labour inspection company, whether the companies and factories recruiting Myanmar workers are legally established. The remarks and findings on those verifications will be returned to the Ministry of Labour.
