Handover event held for Cambodia-donated Sinovac vaccines, syringes

One million doses of COVID-19 vaccines and one million syringes donated by Cambodia to Myanmar arrived at the Yangon International Airport by KR3763 flight yesterday morning.
The donation is based on the friendship between the two countries and Deputy Minister for Health Dr Aye Htun and Dr Youk Sambath, Permanent Secretary of State for Health Ministry in Cambodia attended the handover ceremony held at the VIP Lounge of Yangon International Airport.
Afterwards, the deputy minister and the permanent secretary signed the handover document for donations and the deputy minister returned the certificate of appreciation.
Officials from the Ministry of Health and Nay Pyi Taw Council Public Health and Medical Services Departments to, representatives from the Embassy of Cambodia, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also attended the event.
In previous years, Cambodia provided medications for use in the prevention and treatment activities of COVID-19 in Myanmar. — MNA/MKKS
