Shwedagon Pagoda to organize 40th Kason water pouring festival

Devotees are seen pouring water onto the Maha Bodhi tree in the previous year.

The 40th Kason Water Pouring Festival will be conducted on 3 May at Shwedagon Pagoda, according to the Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees.
The ceremony will start at 7 am on 3 May at the Bodhi tree on the Tuesday Corner of the pagoda with the participation of the Ovadacariya Sayadaw of Shwedagon Pagoda, members and staff of Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees and religious organizations.
The religious organizations and staff will help the pilgrims to participate in the water pouring festival at the Bodhi trees of four corners of the Pagoda. — TWA/MKKS
