Some parts of Yangon’s Maha Bandoola Road, Sule Pagoda Road to be temporarily closed during Thingyan festival

The Yangon Region Government has announced that certain areas of Maha Bandoola Road and Sule Pagoda Road in Yangon will be temporarily closed from 13 to 16 April due to the Thingyan Festival.
Plans are underway to hold water-throwing festival and Thingyan choral dances at the Mayor pavilion in front of the Yangon City Hall. As such, Maha Bandoola Road will be temporarily closed from Sule Pagoda Road to Pansodan Road and Sule Pagoda Road from Anawrahta Road to Merchant Road from 7 am to 6 pm during the period from 13 to 16 April. The Yangon Region government has issued a notification for motorists to use the detours on these days.—TWA/KZL
