Intellectuals and intelligentsia are important in building modern armed forces: Vice-Senior General

All Tatmadaw members need to adjust their income and spending and they have to avoid gambling, said Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win at the meeting with instructors and trainees at the Military Computer and Technology Institute in Hopong Station yesterday afternoon.
In his speech, the Vice-Senior General urged trainees to learn relevant subjects to be applied in engineering works at regiments and units. They all must have the capacity to provide the necessary engineering expertise for regional development measures. It is necessary to avoid illegal acts not to tarnish the image of the prestige of the school and the Tatmadaw.
It can be seen some cases of breaking the military disciplines related to monetary affairs. All Tatmadaw members need to adjust their income and spending and they have to avoid gambling. They have to notice that monetary affairs, gambling and indulgence may harm security measures.
Intellectuals and intelligentsia are important in building modern armed forces. Hence, trainees need to strive to learn the wider-scale of relevant subjects to be professionals.
The Vice-Senior General and the Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) presented foodstuffs and sports equipment for trainees to officials.
