Yangon to take measures against traffic accidents during Thingyan

Traffic congestion was seen on Maha Bandula Road in the hub of Yangon in 2022.

Traffic will be cleared to prevent traffic accidents during Thingyan in Yangon, according to the No 2 Traffic Police Force office.
For the sake of public safety, drivers are advised not to drink and drive and to follow traffic rules in order to avoid traffic jams. Measures are underway to assign duties to members of the traffic police, red cross brigades, cranes at roundabouts, traffic lights, intersections and Thingyan pandals. — TWA/KZW
