The third day of the 58th Myanma Gems Emporium continued yesterday at Maniradana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw. Foreign and local gem merchants observed pearl, gems and jade lots on display at the event.
They inspected pieces of pearl from lot 151 to lot 295 for sale at the emporium and placed bids inside the tender boxes. The tender proposals for pearl lots No 151 to 295 were opened, and officials announced a total of 143 lots were auctioned off. On the third day, gems lot 120 will be sold to international and domestic gem merchants through the open tender system.
Jewellery and gem ornament shops are bustling with buyers.
So far, 290 lots of 295 pearl lots were sold to local and foreign gem merchants. Moreover, 120 gem lots and 2,150 lots of jade will be sold in auction system. — MNA/KZW
