Famous singer Twantay Soe Aung passes away

Famous Myanmar singer Twantay Soe Aung passed away at 2:30 am on 9 March, his son Twantay Hein Kyaw confirmed.
“My father, the famous singer Twantay Soe Aung, passed away at 2 o’clock this morning. There is nothing left to say in my heart, I’m going crazy, father. He left me early,” Singer Twantay Soe Aung’s son revealed on his social network page.
Singer Twantay Soe Aung died while being treated at Yangon General Hospital due to hypertension. He was 61 years old at the time of his death.
He entered the music world with his first solo series with mandolin, “Ko Ko Loh Khaw Par” (Call Me Ko Ko)”, and gained popularity in urban and rural areas, and sang more than 100 songs.
Twantay Soe Aung was born in Kyongyi Ward, Twantay, to parents who made a living from farming.
Fans, mandolinists, Myanmar song singers and singers expressed their condolences for the demise of Twantay Soe Aung on social media. — TWA/KZL
