Diplomatic relations established between Republic of Union of Myanmar and Republic of Guinea-Bissau

The signing ceremony for the establishment of diplomatic ties between Myanmar and Guinea-Bissau is in progress in Beijing on 6 March 2023.

The Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau desirous of establishing friendly ties and cooperation guided by the principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations and the norms of International Law in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations have established diplomatic relations at the level of Ambassadors with effect from 6 March 2023.
The Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations was signed by U Tin Maung Swe, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the People’s Republic of China and Mr António Serifo Embaló, Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau to the People’s Republic of China, on 6 March 2023 at the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Beijing.
The Republic of Guinea-Bissau is the 126th country with which Myanmar has established diplomatic relations. — MNA
