MoH Union Minister leaves for India to attend traditional medicine conf and expo

Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win is seen before leaving for India yesterday.

Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win left for India yesterday to attend the traditional medicine conference and exhibition organized by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to be held on 2 to 3 March in Guwahati, India.
The delegation led by the Union minister was seen off at Yangon International Airport by Indian Ambassador Mr Vinay Kuma and officials from the Ministry of Health. The director-general of the Traditional Medicine Department, the rector of the Mandalay University of Traditional Medicine and Myanmar’s traditional medicine entrepreneurs accompanied the Union Minister.
The traditional medicine conference and exhibition are hosted by India, the alternate chair of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Discussions will include the development and cooperation of the traditional medicine sector between partner countries and observer countries. —MNA/TS
