State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Defence Minister General Mya Tun Oo, SAC Member Dr Mhu Htan, Union ministers, the Chin State chief minister, the North-West Command commander, the deputy ministers and officials, who were currently in Haka, Chin State, met religious leaders and town elders of the Haka Township on the morning of 21 February and presented gifts after giving necessary instructions.
Then, Deputy Prime Minister General Mya Tun Oo and party paid obeisance to the monks led by Dr Bhaddanta Tayzawsara at the Zetawun Monastery in Haka and offered donations.
Afterwards, the Deputy Prime Minister and officials met family members of Haka Station at the hall of the station and handed over cash awards and foodstuffs. After that, he warmly greeted officers, other ranks and their family members who were present at the meeting.
In the afternoon, the Deputy Prime Minister and party proceeded to the Kalay Station and greeted officers, other ranks and their family members at the Aung San Hall of Kalay Station and presented supplies and foodstuffs.
Next, the Deputy Prime Minister and officials visited the district and township-level departmental staff, health workers and education staff at the collective office of Kalay Township and provided supplies and refreshments to the attendees.
Finally, the Deputy Prime Minister and party went to the Kalay People’s Hospital to cheer up the residents receiving medical treatment there and provided nutritious foodstuffs to them. — MNA/CT
