A wild calf rescued from old well

A wild calf was rescued from an old well aside from the locally called Laypaysin jungle trail located at the Kwinkaut Village of Kwinkauk Village-tract, Thabaung Township, Pathein District in Ayeyawady Region at 7:30 am on 2 August.
A combined team which includes Ranger U Myo Min Latt of the Thabaung Department of Forest staff, Police Captain Hla Aye of the Forestry Security Police Force and members, SIP Aung Ko Ko of the Hlaygyitat Police Outpost and associates and Village Administrator U Win Htay of the Kwinkauk Village-tract, came to rescue the wild calf that was fell in the old well which located in U Khin Maung Htay’s rubber farm near the Laypaysin jungle trail, Kwinkauk Village of Kwinkauk Village-tract, according to the information.
The team managed to salvage the wild calf with the use of an excavator from the well at 8:45 am. It is learnt that it was a female calf aged around five and she re-entered the forest safe and sound. — Myo Zaw Thein-Thabaung IPRD/GNLM
