Dagon University signs MoU with Gifu University of Japan

An MoU inking ceremony between Dagon University and Gifu University of Japan is in progress.

A signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Science Departments of Dagon University and those under the Engineering Faculty of Gifu University, Japan, was held at the meeting hall of the Rector’s Office in Dagon University yesterday.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr Thar Tun Maung, Rector of Dagon University, pro-rectors, heads of departments, professors and heads of the academic and administrative department.
Then, Vice-President Dr Shinji Kambara of Gifu University, Japan, Head Prof Dr Toshiaki Murai of the Faculty of Engineering and heads of the Science Departments took part in the meeting through video conferencing.
Prof Dr Soe Moe Lwin, the Secretary of International Relations Office and Joint Secretary Lecturer Daw May Thu Maung Maung act as master of ceremonies during the ceremony.
Afterwards, the rector of Dagon University and the vice-president of Gifu University gave opening remarks respectively and discussed implementing further steps including the organization of scientific research and training exchange trips for students, scientific research conferences with scientists, co-hosting of fora and courses and the publication of the research results in research journals.
Later, both institutions signed the MoU and took a commemorative group photo together to record the event. — MNA
