Express trains cheaper than express bus fares to resume

Myanma Railways is planning to resume express trains soon, which have been temporarily suspended, with a cheaper fare than long-distance express buses to make it easier for the public. This includes the No 5 Yangon-Mandalay up train and the No 6 down train, No 61 Yangon-Pyay up train and the No 62 down train.
Although Myanma Railways sets the prices of express train tickets at the same prices before, the prices will be likely to be higher in the future, according to U Thaung Htike, Superintendent of the Yangon Railway Station.
However, the increased prices will be much cheaper than bus fares in order not to be a burden on the travellers, and Myanma Railways will not increase commuter train ticket prices. Currently, the No 3 Yangon-Mandalay up train, No 1 Yangon-Mandalay up train, No 89 Yangon-Mawlamyine up train, No 71 Yangon-Pyay up train, and No 63 Yangon-Pyay up train are running from the Yangon Railway Station.
