57th Myanma Gems Emporium continues its fifth day

Gemstone traders are seen evaluating jade lots at the 57th Myanma Gems Emporium yesterday.

The fifth day of the 57th Myanma Gems Emporium continued yesterday at Mani Yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw.
The local and foreign gem merchants observed the displayed jade and jewel items in the hall and jadestone outside the hall.
After that, the officials opened the bidding for 700 jadestone lots from series 1 to 700 and announced that 523 jadestone lots were sold out.
Moreover, 330 pearl lots from series 1 to 330 were on sale through the open tender system, and 330 pearl lots were sold out, while 54 gemstone lots from series 1 to 120 were sold to local and foreign gem merchants during previous events.
The jade lots from the series 701 to 1400 will be sold on the sixth day of the event, and from 1401 to 2000 on the seventh day.
Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi, in his capacity as Myanma Gems Emporium Central Committee Patron, inspected the jade sales at the event yesterday afternoon.
The Myanma Gems Emporium has been successfully held since 1964 to earn foreign income and develop the economy for the citizens, reaching its 57th event. The local and foreign gemstone merchants peacefully observed the displayed pearl lots and jade lots during the event. — MNA
