The discussion focused on rumours spreading in the domestic market, setting a sales limit at retail stations and panic buying of consumers, importer companies and the departments concerned.
At the meeting, importer companies and those engaged in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) reported difficulties in the distribution network and current market conditions. Officials of the MoC discussed plans to lessen the worries of the people and the government support.
Importer companies agreed to ensure the unlimited distribution process at set reference rates to help consumers stop worrying.
