Stimulant tablets seized in some townships

A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a motorcycle driven by Maung Tint near Konmahat Village, Konmahat Village-tract, Bhamo Township and found 1,925 stimulant tablets on 19 January at 4:10 pm.
At 7:10 pm that night, Anti-Drug Police Force also stopped and searched a Honda Fit vehicle driven by Naing Naing Oo on the Indu-Zarthapyin Road near Thayet Pin Village, Zarthapyin (West) Village-tract, Hpa-an Township and 2,000 stimulant tablets worth K210,000 were confiscated.
At 1:10 pm that day, a joint team consisting of security forces searched a Crown vehicle driven by Kyaw Soe Hlaing and Phyo Min Kyaw (alias) Ko Phyo on the Maugon Road, Maugon Quarter, Tamway Township, Yangon and 230,000 stimulant drugs were seized.
At 6.45 am that morning, a search of Soe Heitay’s house by the Anti-Drug Police Force in Kosammein village, Mongyang Township turned up 5,200 stimulant pills.
They are being prosecuted under the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Law, according to the Police Force. —MNA
