Myanmar U-22 team to resume training for upcoming SEA Games

The Myanmar U-22 national football team will begin preparations for next year’s ASEAN U-22 and the 31st SEA Games early next year.
The Myanmar U-22 team has stopped training after the 2022 Asian Cup U-23 Championship held from 27 October to 2 November and is scheduled to resume training at the beginning of 2022.
Popov, a Bulgarian national, will serve as a head coach of the Myanmar U-22 team.
The Myanmar national team currently competing in the Suzuki Cup includes some players from the Myanmar U-22 team, who will join the U-22 team after the Suzuki Cup.
Team Myanmar will compete in the ASEAN U-22 Championship from 14 to 26 February in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The 31st SEA Games will be held in mid-May in Viet Nam.
The Myanmar squad will have more than four months to prepare for the SEA Games and will compete in the ASEAN U-22 Games in preparation for the SEA Games, officials said. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
