Artistes are requested to serve the people honestly: Union MOI Minister

Now is time for artistes to perform entertainments with fine arts works to the people for happiness as the people are suffocated in the outbreak of COVId-19 and political changes, said Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn yesterday evening at the meeting with artistes from the Myoma Band at Pullman Hotel in Mandalay.
At the meeting, the Union Minister said that the Myoma music band was formed with the aim of forming the Myanmar orchestra so as to present entertainments with Myanmar music to meet the international standard.
The Prime Minister pays attention to the artistes from the literary, moption picture, theatretical performers and musicians with guidance often given for solving the difficulties of those artistes. The Ministry of Information cordially meets with artistes, encourages the work processes and cooperates with those artistes in solding the difficulties.
Now is time for artistes to perform entertainments with fine arts works to the people for happiness as the people are suffocated in the outbreak of COVID-19 and political changes. Artistes are requested to serve the people honestly.
The Union minister took pride of enjoying the entertainment of the band with the use of musicial instruments provided by the Prime Minister.
Chief MInister U Maung Ko of Mandalay Region government also spoke works of thanks.

The Myoma Music Band was founded in 1925 as an amateur troupe with musician youths. The band has been focusing on propagation of Myanmar classical songs, taking practices of playing the international musical instruments, and studying the musicial knowledge created with the use of music notes. Now, the band’s birthday will fall the centenery in 2025. So, the band created innovation with the use of Myanmar and western musical instruments. It aims to present entertainments with the Myanmar orchestra.—MNA
