Detained Myanmar citizens in Thailand repatriated

A total of 61 Myanmar nationals who were charged and punished for petty crimes in Thailand returned to the country via the Thailand-Myanmar No 2 Friendship Bridge at Tachilek Township of eastern Shan State yesterday morning.
The group of returnees included 30 males and 31 females. The township officials helped the returnees with medical tests and other supplies. They all were tested negative for COVID-19.
The eastern Shan State Administration team chairman U Ye Naing and other respective officials provided vehicles, food aids, sets of personal protective equipment and cash assistance to the returnees under the supervision of Wasibake Sayadaw of Kengtung Township. — MNA
