The 74th Anniversary of Shan State Day was celebrated at the City Hall of Taunggyi in Shan State (south) yesterday.
The ceremony was joined by Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commander of Eastern Command Brig-Gen Ni Lin Aung, departmental officials, religious titles winner Sayadaws, other award winners, town elders and local ethnic people.

The Chairman of Shan State Administration Council gave Social Excellent Award (1st level) to Sayadaw Agga Maha Saddama Jotika Dhaja Agga Maha Kamma Htana Cariya Dr Baddhanta Pyannya Danda of Thiri Mingalaar Mansu Shan Monastery of Lashio, Management Excellent Award (1st level) to Shan United FC, Security and Rule of Law Excellent Award (3rd level) to Police Captain San Thein of Tachilek district police station, Agricultural Excellent Award (3rd level) to U Tint Naing from Nga Phal Chaung Village of Nyaungshwe, Livestock Excellent Award (3rd level) to U Saw Tin Ko Ko Lwin , Environmental Conservation Excellent Award (3rd level) to U Mya Than from Naung Kat Village of Hsipaw, Social Excellent Award (3rd level) to U Phone Myint Kyaw and Garunar Shin social welfare team of Namsang, according to the statement of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.—MNA
