59th Gems Emporium’s Day 9 sells 954 jade lots

The ninth day of the 59th Myanmar Gems Exhibition took place on 11 May at the Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw, attracting local jewellers who inspected the collections of jade stones from Group C exhibited outside the hall. These jade stones are intended to be sold exclusively to local gem traders in Kyat currency.
Out of the total 1,000 jade lots displayed from Group C at the emporium, 954 were sold. The jade lots numbered from 2,751 to 3,750 from Group C were offered to jewellers through an open tender system.
Authorities reviewed and inspected the proposed price lists of jade lots numbered from 3,751 to 4,550 yesterday, and the sold-out jade lots will be announced on the last day of the event.
The 59th Gems Emporium has been exhibiting in Nay Pyi Taw from 3 to 12 May. Throughout the exhibition, 182 lots of pearls were sold on the second day, followed by 197 lots on the third day, 88 lots of gems on the fourth day, 546 lots of jade on the fifth day, 569 lots of jade on the sixth day and 424 lots on the seventh day and 954 jade lots on the following day. — MNA/TMT
