The Department of Fisheries held a fish planting ceremony at the Shwe Marlar port on the bank of Toe river in Maubin, Ayeyawady Region, for preventing the extinction of fish species yesterday morning.
The ceremony was attended by the Chairman and officials of the District and Township Administration Bodies and departmental staff.
A total of 500,000 fingerlings were added to the river yesterday. — Aung Khine/GNLM
