2nd Pyithu Hluttaw 5th regular session 24th day meeting

Pyithu Hluttaw decided to record and wait for future undertaking a motion by Daw Yin Min Hlaing of Gangaw constituency urging the union government to upgrade the national health sector by reforming the nursing circle that is the most important and basic workforce for people’s health after discussing the motion in 2nd Pyithu Hluttaw 5th regular session 24th day meeting held yesterday.
The motion was discussed by U Win Win of Minbu constituency, U Tun Wei of Phaungpyin constituency, Dr. Daw Khin Nyo of Dedaye constituency, U Myo Nyunt of Homalin constituency, Daw Mya Khwa Nyo Oo of Shwedaung constituency, Dr. Daw Pyone of Indaw constituency, Dr. Daw A Zin Latt of Shwebo constituency, Dr. Oo Sein Mya Aye of Dala constituency and Dr. U Aye Min of Khayan constituency. Union Minister Dr. Myint Htwe explained and discussed about the motion after which the hluttaw decided to record and keep in view the motion.
Replying to a question by Dr. Daw Pyone of Indaw constituency on plan to build a sports stadium and township sports and physical education office in Indaw Township, Union Minister Dr. Myint Htwe said old Mya In Tha sports stadium in Indaw Township is being auctioned and with the proceed of this auction, township sports and physical education office will be built in Aye Mya Thaya sports ground that is one furlong away from Mya In Tha sports stadium. As for the township sports stadium, priority is given for it in the Sagaing Region government budget for FY 2018-2019 and when authorization is given it will be constructed said the Union Minister.
U Tun Tun of Pwintbyu constituency then questioned about arranging a separate room (ward) in state, region, district and township hospital to treat prisoners. Union Minister Dr. Myint Htwe said department of medical services was informed to report on present status and requirement of the ward in central, state and region level hospitals to provide treatment to prisoners. According to an initial study hospitals in Buthidaung, Maungtaw, Kyaukphyu and Thandwe in Rakhine State urgently require these wards and since there is adequate space available in those hospitals, calculations were made to build a separate ward for prisoners. Department of medical services is giving priority to hospitals in towns where there are prisons. At the central level hospitals, separate wards for prisoners already exists and if there is a requirements to repair these wards, it will be done with approved fund of department of medical services said the Union Minister. Similarly questions on health related matters by U Nay Htat Win of Sinbaungwe constituency, U Tun Tun Win of Yamethin constituency and U Tun Tun Maung of Ponnagyun constituency were answered by Union Minister Dr. Myint Htwe.
Hluttaw then made a decision to approve a bill amending Myanmar divorce act submitted by Supreme Court of the Union.
