28th Myanmar military medical conference held online

The 28th Myanmar Military Medical Conference was held at the No (2) Military Orthopaedic Hospital (500 bedded) in Mingaladon and No (2) Military Hospital (1,000 bedded) in Nay Pyi Taw through video conferencing yesterday.
Adjutant-General from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) Lt-Gen Myo Zaw Thein, Chairman of the Tatmadaw Medical Research and Development Committee, Director of Medical Services Brig-Gen Ko Ko Lwin, Senior Military Officials, medical specialists, international medical experts, invitees and interested persons attended the conference.
A total of 668 military workers from other Tatmadaw hospitals and medical corps also joined the conference via the internet from 148 places. Lt-Gen Myo Zaw Thein and Brig-Gen Ko Ko Lwin addressed the conference.
At the conference, “Healthcare Trends in a Pandemic Myanmar Military Medical Practice” was discussed as the symposium of the conference; “Traumatic Brain Injury In Combat Casualty Care”, “Cardiovascular Disease in COVID-19 (Practical Approach)”, “Managing Non-COVID Respiratory Diseases in the Era of COVID-19”, “Challenges of COVID-19 Pandemic in Myanmar Military Nursing Perspective”, “Tele Psychiatry in COVID-19 Pandemic”, “Role of Insulin Therapy in Management of Diabetes Mellitus”, “Immunological Role of Herbs in COVID-19” and 4 Special Talk were discussed as major symposiums.
A total of 14 research papers on Pharmacology, Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Radiology and other medical subjects were submitted. The 28th Military Medical Conference will be held till 7 April. — MNA
