The 24th Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition (Central Level) continued for the fifth day at designated venues in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The traditional performing arts competitions are being held by putting all hearts and souls into this matter bearing the sustainability of the State together with national prestige, integrity, tradition and culture in mind. Being an arts competition, it can be described as an event to explore the traditions and culture based on the friendship of ethnic people and connect the elderly artistes with new generations in other words cultural integration of national brethren.
The contestants from various regions and states participated in the “uplift of nation prestige and integrity” singing competition, dance competition, song composing competition, orchestra solo competition, guitar competition, xylophone competition, Myanmar orchestra troupe competition, “Narration of religious or historical stories” competition, marionette troupe competition, and Mahawthahta drama competition which took place at designated venues yesterday.
SAC members, Union-level officials, deputy ministers, ministers for Ethnic Affairs and Ministers for Social Affairs of regions and states, advocates-general, relevant officials, departmental staff and parents of contestants attended the competitions.
The singing competition includes classical/modern song competitions for amateur level second class and higher education level.
Moreover, the dancing competition includes male and female dancing competitions at all levels, Kabyalut dance for women’s (first class), Shan traditional dance and Shan traditional dance (open class) in which candidates from regions and states competed. — MNA/KZW
