17th plenary meeting of 8th 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee held

The first session of the 17th plenary meeting of the Eighth 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee was administrated at the Maha Pasana Cave on Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye Hill in Yangon yesterday.
Present on the occasion were members of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee led by Presiding Nayaka Sayadaw of Thanlyin Min Kyaung Pahtamapyan Monastery Aggamaha Pandita Aggamaha Saddhammajotikadhaja Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin and relevant officials.
State Sangha Mahamayaka Committee Chairman Aggamaha Pandita Aggamaha Saddhammajotikadhaja Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa presided over the event, and Joint Secretary Sayadaw Aggamaha Ganthavacaka Pandita Aggamaha Saddhammajotikadhaja Paññadhaja acted as the master of ceremonies.
Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin reported on religious affairs-related matters.
Then, Sayadaws reported on Vinicchaya, religious affairs and educational matters. The Sayadaws discussed religious and Vinicchaya affairs and concluded the first session.
The Vinicchaya affairs and religious-related matters were discussed by Sayadaws in the second session at 1 pm.
Senior General Than Shwe (retired) Daw Kyaing Kyaing and other donors offered alms for the whole day to the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee member Sayadaws, who attended the ceremony yesterday. — MNA/KTZH
