The final day of the 142nd Myanmar South Sea Pearl Emporium 2024 in progress yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.

The 142nd Myanmar South Sea Pearl Emporium 2024 continued the event yesterday morning for final day at Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw.
Starting in the morning, local and foreign traders inspected the rest of the pearl lots displayed for sale inside the hall. Then, they placed proposed price lists of Tender 5 with pearl lots numbered from 461 to 580 and Tender 6 with pearl lots with pearl lots numbered from 581 to 700 into the respective tender boxes.
In the afternoon, Patron of the Myanmar Gems Emporium Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi was also present at the event.
Afterwards, emporium officials announced that 196 pearl lots were sold after checking the proposed prices of the 240 pearl lots from Tenders 5 and 6. In addition, a total of 14 lots of pearl which were failed to win the tender proposals from Tender 1 to Tender 5, and as such, a total of 210 pearl lots were sold yesterday.
The emporium was held from 12 to 15 August. The 142nd Myanmar South Sea Pearl Emporium was successfully held by selling 177 out of 230 pearl lots on the second day, 184 out of 230 pearl lots on the third day and 196 out of 240 pearl lots on the fourth day in addition to 14 more pearl lots, respectively, for both local and foreign merchants with the open tender system under the management of Myanmar South Sea Pearl Emporium Committee. — MNA/TRKM
