13th ASEAN School Games: Myanmar Vovinam Team wins 2 golds, 1 silver, 4 bronzes

The Myanmar Vovinam Team won two gold medals, one silver medal, and three bronze medals in the 13th ASEAN School Games held in Danang, Vietnam, from 1 to 9 June.
Yoon Lawun Eain Shwe grabbed one gold at the women’s individual performance event, while Nway Lun Htet, Aung Pyae Sone Naing, Kyaw Zaw Shin and Pyae Sone Aung secured another gold medal at the Female 1+ Male 3 team event of weapon performance.
Meanwhile, Wai Yan Kyaw picked one silver medal in the 54-60 kilogrammes event of men’s individual attacking event. Yoon Pann Thazin Aung garnered further silver in the 45-50.9 kg event of women’s individual attacking event. Next, Naing Aung Shwe at the men’s individual performance event, Zin Lei Phyu and Kyel Sin Lwin at the women’s double sword performance event and Min Khant Naing, Naing Aung Shwe, Pyae Sone Aung and Kyaw Zaw Shin at men’s team of four performance (without a weapon) event claimed bronze medal each totalling seven medals for team Myanmar. — Arka Lin/KZL
