1,347 students admitted to join 1st MB courses of medical and dental universities

The Ministry of Health announced that a total of 1,347 youths who passed the 2022 matriculation examination were admitted to the first MB courses of medical universities and dental universities.
The list of students who passed their matriculation exam with Chemistry, Physics, and Biology combination, has been released to enter the first MB courses of medical and dental universities under the Department of Human Resources for Health, according to the Ministry of Health.
According to the list of admissions, 345 students were admitted to Yangon University of Medicine-1, 272 to Mandalay University of Medicine, 337 to Yangon University of Medicine-2, 121 to Magway University of Medicine, 48 to Taunggyi University of Medicine, 145 to Yangon University of Dental Medicine and 79 to Mandalay University of Dental Medicine, totalling 1,347, according to the source of the Ministry of Health.
For those who passed the university entrance exam in 2022, the preliminary selection was based on the total scores of six subjects obtained in the entrance exam of 2022 and based on the plus/minus scores of three subjects (English, Chemistry and Biology).
Those who have been preliminarily selected, took an oral exam and a psychometric (written) test.
The final selection of the applicants for medical and dental universities was based on the scores in three subjects and the total scores of the oral exam.—TWA/GNLM
